India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar spoke on the phone with his Spanish counterpart Arancha Gonzalez on Wednesday. During the talks, the two leaders agreed that the fight against the coronavirus required global cooperation.

The conversation between the two foreign ministers took place at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejón had spoken to each other a day earlier. The two discussed the situation resulting from the outbreak of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

After a conversation with the Spanish Foreign Minister, Jaishankar tweeted, 'I had a phone conversation with Spain's Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez. We have agreed that an effective response against COVID-19 requires global cooperation. India has responded positively to Spain's immediate drug needs.

One lakh 48 thousand 220 people are affected by Corona in Spain. While 14 thousand 792 people have died due to the virus. On the other hand, the number of corona infected has reached above five thousand. At the same time, 149 people have died. Apart from this, more than 13 lakh people in the world are vulnerable to Corona, while more than 75 thousand have lost their lives.
