Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutatria featured in another song recreation - Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan's 'Masakali'. Soon after their version released, the internet showed its disappointment in the song, only to be followed by the original music composer AR Rahman urging his fans to watch the 'Delhi 6' song.

"No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless film crew." - Lots of love and prayers, A.R. Rahman," wrote the composer a few hours after Sidharth and Tara's 'Masakali 2.0' released and received major backlash.

Here's his tweet:

The message appears to be an indication that A.R. Rahman is not happy with Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria's version of 'Masakali'. Rahman received a lot of support from the internet after his 'no shortcuts' tweet.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, 'Masakali' was penned down by Prasoon Joshi and sung by Mohit Chauhan. 'Masakali 2.0', on the other hand, is crooned by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon. The song is composed and written by Tanishk Bagchi. The recreation was a part of Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.
