Navi Mumbai: APMC trader who tested Covid-19 positive is from Mumbai; total 30 cases in NMMC area

NAVI MUMBAI: The APMC trader who has reported Covid-9 positive is from Sion. "He did not come to his business centre (wholesale spice market) since March 22), the NMMC said. "
The NMMC has not counted him among the (progressive)30 positive cases reported in its jurisdiction since March 14 so far when the first case of a Philippines national testing positive was reported. Ten Philippines national on India tour were staying at the Vashi Madarsa of which 3 are included in the 30 positive cases, so far. They were counted in because the case(s)originated from Navi Mumbai.
Out of the 30, seven have tested negative ; and there are 23 positive cases since March 14, the NMMC said
The figure increased from 28 to 30 when two fresh cases were registered, as two high-risk contacts of a resident of Koperkhairne sector 19 tested positive. The resident along with the two contacts who have also tested positive are among the five undergoing treatment at the NMMC hospital.
Altogether seven persons who were high-risk contacts of the resident (Koperkhairne) were tested, samples of five were negative. They have been sent to the Vashi community hall (institutional quarantine).
