Director Milap Zaveri, who last helmed Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh starring film 'Marjaavaan', is still hopeful that he would be able to release his next film 'Satyameva Jayate 2' on Gandhi Jayanti. He claimed the same in the midst of 21-day coronavirus lockdown in India.
"As soon as things get back to normal, we will dive into the shoot of Satyameva Jayate 2. We were to start our Mumbai schedule in April-end. We are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that we will be able to [stick to that date]," Milap told Mid-Day, also adding that even if the film goes on floors by May, they would still be on schedule.
"The film was announced as an October 2 release, and we have not pushed our date so far. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the film releases on that day," he asserted. More so, Zaveri also revealed a new poster on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, as his tribute to the lord.
"On the auspicious occasion of #hanumanJayanti sharing my inspiration for the poster of #SatyamevaJayate2. Mera Dil cheer ke dekhoge toh us mein bhi @thejohnabraham dikhenge. Celebrate this day but by STAYING HOME! #IndiaFightsCorona," wrote Milap alongside the poster featuring John Abraham with the flag of India imprinted on his chest.
The movie features Divya Khosla Kumar opposite John Abraham. She would be making her comeback into movies with the film. Meanwhile, Milap Zaveri also revealed that he has 'cracked the idea' to 'Satyameva Jayate 3' under quarantine.
