Coronavirus continues to take a heavy toll on families, communities and nations all over the world. Even the world hegemon USA has failed to control the spread of the virus. Coronavirus has taken away lives even in India but a timely response by our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi of announcing lockdown has slowed down the spread COVID-19.
Since lockdown has been announced cities like Ludhiana all over the country have been facing many problems ranging from shortage of food to lack of wages. During such hard times while many government officials or Congress and Akali Dal party members are seen nowhere, the real heroes have come forward despite putting their lives in danger to help the needy. One such organization which has provided great relief is Bhai Ghaniya Ji Mission Sewa Society which has provided langar (free food) to 370 blood donation camps and saved more than one lakh lives. The head of the society Tranjeet Singh Nimana, who has received eight state awards for the commendable work done by his society spoke about Jathedar Harpreet Singh who has asked Sikhs all over the world to step forward to provide all possible help during such turbulent times as written in the Sikh scriptures.
People associated with Bhai Ghaniya Ji Mission Sewa Society has provided immense help to people during the situation of zero ground level lockdown. They have provided people with sanitizers, masks, gloves and langar (free food) to more than 5000 people everyday with the help of funds collected.
