HUBBALLI: A 27-year-old man from Mulla Oni was tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection on Thursday. He was admitted at an isolation ward at KIMS Hospital.
The initial report based on the patient's travel history suggests that he had visited Delhi a few days ago. Around 3km area surrounding Mulla Oni has been announced as containment area and all the procedures have been initiated.
Residents of the area have been asked to remain indoors and no one will be allowed to go out or enter the area. Essential commodities will be delivered to the residents at their doorsteps.
All the primary contacts of the patient have been sent to quarantine facilities and efforts are on to trace his secondary contacts.
