Blue light glasses, fleece jumpers and comfy linen pants: The top-selling items Australian men and women are buying online during the COVID-19 crisis

House-bound Australians have been indulging in plenty of online shopping during the coronavirus crisis, with comfortable athleisurewear, puzzles, blue light glasses and home office supplies being among the most sought-after items.

With most employees working from home, outdoor activities restricted and most shops closed, leading online retailer The Iconic has seen a significant boost in demand for some specific goods.

A snapshot of the company's sales from March 23 and April 8 offered a snapshot of what the country was ordering during the health crisis.

APPAREL  

Sweat tops and pants, leggings, hoodies and logo t-shirts have dominated March's top-selling lists for men, women and children.

Loungewear in particular has seen a whopping 120 per cent demand increase in comparison to the same time last year, highlighting that comfort is king when it comes to current Aussie style aspirations. 

The new at-home work uniform of activewear has become even more of a wardrobe staple in recent weeks, as people opt for maximum comfort and function while at-home.

Since March 23, P.E. Nation, Nike, Jaggad and Adidas have made up four of the top 10 search terms onsite, proving that the nation doesn't want to sacrifice designer digs even when they're working out alone. 

Topping the best-seller list in recent weeks has been Assembly Label's Logo Fleece Sweater for women, while for the men, Nike Club Fleece Jogger Pants have taken out the number one spot. 

It's not all about comfort though with sales in lingerie jumping by almost a third in comparison to this time last year.

Classic sneakers like Nike's Air Force 1 and Veja V10s are maintaining popularity but Aussies are also making a move to slipper chic with strong traction in boots, slippers and slides from brands like Ralph Lauren, Adidas and UGG.

Kitting out at-home gyms has been high on the priority list with equipment buys like The Bow 500 from The Bow and PTP's Total Resistance System selling out in under two weeks.

Those who are less inclined to start a new training regime are taking advantage of the latest puzzles, with the gaming term becoming a top search term onsite in the past fortnight. 

While picks like Ridleys' Inspirational Women 1000 piece Jigsaw Puzzle sold out in a matter of days, for those on the browse current favourites include Ridleys' Beer Lovers 500 piece Jigsaw Puzzle and Ridley's Whiskey Lovers Pack.

More time at-home has meant more screen-time and shoppers have been making the adjustment by adding blue light lens glasses to their cart, with average sales increasing by more than 55 per cent last week. 

Quay Walk On Clear Round Blue Light Lenses have been among the top picks for women, while Oppen House Blue Light Lenses have been a firm favourite with men. 

Self-care Sundays are now a week-long indulgence with traffic to The Iconic's wellness category tripling in visits in the last two weeks. 

Items like silk pillow slips (Sleepy Dee 22 Momme Mulberry Silk Wish Terse Pillowcase), silk masks (Silk Eye Mask from Shhh Silk) and face rollers sets from FOREO (FOREO: Picture Perfect LUNA 3 + Serum Serum Serum) are being snapped up by those seeking a dose of at-home TLC. 

Finally it would appear we are taking the opportunity to set up our home offices in style with writing equipment, notebooks and diaries from The Iconic's Designer range, such as the Montblanc Black PIX ballpoint Pen and Smythson Panama Notebook.
