Indian-American diaspora expresses solidarity with PM Narendra Modi's efforts to tackle Covid-19 pandemic

NEW DELHI: A group of 200 Indian organisations in the US have come together to express solidarity with the efforts of the Narendra Modi-led government and the people of the country to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
The group praised the Indian government's proactive initiatives to curb the spread of Covid-19 in India and also welcomed the cohesive action between the central and state governments.

“We salute the efforts of all those individuals who along with international organizations; national governments; and private, public and social sector organizations are working tirelessly often at a huge personal risk to tackle this crisis and save precious human life," a statement said.
In its statement, the group appealed to the people of India to continue to keep their faith and trust, keep strong, and follow the advice and guidance of Prime Minister Modi during these testing times.
"All of us in the USA and the rest of the world share in the suffering and stand united in our resolve to see the world through this crisis for a brighter and better tomorrow," the statement added.
