The first COVID-19 patient in Goa has recovered and will be discharged soon, an official said on Wednesday adding that it brings the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state to six.

Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain sealed to contain spread of COVID-19
- After an increase in the number of coronavirus cases, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday ordered three major cities Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain to be sealed completely.
- The state government also invoked the Essential Services Management Act (ESMA) in the state with immediate effect to combat COVID-19 to ensure essential supplies and services are operational during this crisis.
Gujarat to provide free ration to 60 lakh families amid COVID-19 lockdown
- Due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Wednesday said the state government will provide free ration to 60 lakh families who were not getting food under National Food Security Act.
- "We have decided that people with Above Poverty Line 1 card, who were not getting food grains due to National Food Security Act will now be given 10 kg wheat grains, 3 kg Rice, 1 Kg Pulse grain and 1 kg sugar-free of cost. 60 lakh families will get benefited from it," Rupani said.

42 Thais who went to Indonesian religious meeting have virus
- Health authorities in Thailand say more than half the people returning from a trip to a mass religious meeting in Indonesia have been found to be infected with the coronavirus.

US pharmacies authorized to test for coronavirus
- The US authorized pharmacies on Wednesday to carry out tests for the coronavirus, including newly developed antibody tests that detect whether a person who has recovered from illness had COVID-19.
- Health secretary Alex Azar, announced that all tests approved by regulators could be carried out by pharmacies as the country seeks to ramp up its testing efforts.
- "The Trump Administration is pleased to give pharmacists the chance to play a bigger role in the COVID-19 response, alongside all of America's heroic healthcare workers," he said.

- A 55-year-old COVID-19 patient from Chatamli village in Punjab's Ropar died on Wednesday. The state reported seven more cases on Wednesday taking the total number of coronavirus positive cases to 106.
- "The patient, M 55, from Chatamli village, Tehsil Morinda, who had tested positive for COVID-19, has expired," Special Chief Secretary in Punjab government, KBS Sidhu tweeted.
