No Hand Grenade Will Stop This Armored 2020 Lincoln Navigator

Worried that things might go south and have more than a handful of cash to spend on a new set of wheels that could get you out of a very dangerous situation?

Say hello to the 2020 Lincoln Navigator L by Inkas. Armored by the Canadian company, the luxury SUV features ballistic protection all around the passenger compartment, including reinforced roof and floor as well as multi-layer glass.

According to Inkas, the treatment delivers BR6-level protection that helps it cope with 7.62×51 mm or .308 Winchester FMJ ammunition. Furthermore, it can withstand explosions from up to two hand grenades detonated at the same time.

In addition to the bulletproof passenger compartment, the Navigator features protection for the battery and electronic control module, reinforced door hinges and other structure points, re-tuned suspension and run-flat tires. Other armoring packages are available for the vehicle: heavy-duty brake system and wheels, fire suppression system, siren, intercom and PA, and emergency lights.

“Amidst these uncertain times, Inkas continues to develop innovative solutions in order to protect human lives in the way that we best know how”, said CEO David Khazanski. “We are thrilled to add the new armored Lincoln Navigator to our extensive line of luxury vehicles. This vehicle is truly exceptional both in its safety features and its level of comfort for the driver and all passengers.”

Based on the long wheelbase version, the armored Navigator is equipped with premium leather trim, head-up display, rear-seat entertainment system, individual captain’s chairs, premium audio, illuminated running boards, LED headlights and more.

Power is provided by the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, hooked up to a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The engine remains stock, so it pumps out 450 HP and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque.

Pricing details haven’t been disclosed, but the stock 2020 Navigator starts at $76,185, while the extended model has an MSRP of $84,925 for the Reserve and $100,335 for the Black Label.
