MUMBAI: The husband of the pregnant woman who died of Covid-19 at BYL Nair hospital on Saturday is suspected to have left the hospital without being tested on Sunday after he learnt about the virus. He was put in isolation along with his 18-month-old daughter after almost 24 hours.
This is the first death of a pregnant woman due to the virus in the state. Her child could not be saved. The 30-year-old woman from Nalasopara was taken to a local private hospital after she got labour pain on Friday night.
