Hero MotoCorp announced that it has extended duration of warranty, free service and AMC services in view of the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.

As per the company's exchange filing made after market hours yesterday, 7 April 2020, Hero MotoCorp said it has extended the duration of all its warranty and free services in view of the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. For the benefit of all its existing customers, the company has extended services that were getting exhausted during the lock-down period.

All scheduled Free Service (FSC) expiring between March 21 to April 30 will be extended till 30 June 2020, the company said. Besides, all vehicles for which the warranty is expiring during the lockdown period will be extended till 30 June 2020.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp surged 11.83% to close at Rs 1,771 on BSE yesterday. The scrip hovered in the range of Rs 1,602.25 to Rs 1,789.95 as per Tuesday's closing figures.

Hero MotoCorp is a motorcycle and scooter manufacturer. The company is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world.
