Allahabad HC judges, staff give Rs 3 crore to PM's fund

PRAYAGRAJ: In tune with the country's fight against coronavirus, judiciary of the state too has come forward with contributions to help the state and society meet the challenge.
The judges of the Allahabad High Court, officers/officials of the registry and other officers/officials of the subordinate courts have contributed a sum of over Rs 3.31 crores to PM-CARES Fund.
HC judges are also providing 125 food packets to Prayagraj administration for distribution to the needy.
Besides, the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Lucknow has also established a kitchen in its premises, where from 125 food packets per day are being provided to the district administration, Lucknow for distribution among the needy people.
Justice Govind Mathur, the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, has also contributed a sum of Rs 1 lakh in the CM's Relief Fund. A cheque in this regard was handed over to the district magistrate, Prayagraj on April 5.
Registrar protocol of Allahabad High Court, Ashish Kumar Srivastava, said that high court has also placed its 10 suites at High Court Guest House, Durmmond Road at Prayagraj at the disposal of district administration, Prayagraj for their use to quarantine the persons affected, if required.
