Covid-19 hotspots in 15 UP districts to be sealed, only doorstep deliveries allowed

LUCKNOW: Coronavirus hotspots in 15 districts of UP, where more than six cases of Covid-19 have been reported, are going to be sealed till at least April 15. The 15 districts will also see a greater enforcement of the lockdown.
The 15 districts include Gautam Budh Nagar, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Bareily, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Maharajganj, Sitapur, Saharanpur and Basti.

The UP government has clarified that only hotspots will be sealed and not the the entire district where existing conditions will prevail. In these areas banks, shops will remain closed. The areas will be sanitised and essential goods and medicines will be delivered at doorsteps.
Additional chief secretary (home) Awanish Awasthi had said that the government would be identifying the hotspots by 5pm on Wednesday and these areas would be sealed latest by midnight.
Wearing of masks or covering face when stepping out have been made compulsory across UP.

Lucknow 8 large hotspots and 4 small hotspots.
