Panchayat is an eight part-series set in the village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) who is fresh out of college has somehow landed himself a government job, as Panchayat sachiv, which pays him Rs 20,000 a month. He goes straight from hanging out with his friends at the mall, talking about CTCs and instagramming to the dusty village of Phulera with daily power cuts and where he has to bathe in the open at the hand pump outside the panchayat office.

Samantar stars Swwapnil Joshi and is just what we need when we are locked down during the coronavirus outbreak. The web-series was originally made in Marathi and later dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Directed by Satish Rajwade, Samantar is a thriller based on the book by the same name by Suhas Shirwalkar. It also stars Nitish Bhardwaj and Tejaswini Pandit. Read more
The Kid Who Would Be King is about a school kid who has nothing special about him. His fortunes change, however, when he pulls King Arthur’s famous sword Excalibur from the stone it is buried in. MX Player's Mannphodganj Ki Binny is an adaptation of the book ‘Band Baaja Boys’ by Rachna Singh. It is a story of a small-town girl Binny Bajpai who is attractive, happy go lucky and has an attitude of being in it to win it. The slice of life comedy web series chronicles her big dreams and escapades to leave her small town.
Starring Sanjay Mishra and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles, Kaamyaab is the story of a character actor who has appeared in 499 films and is looking for his 500th project. It is a poignant tale that focuses on the lost dreams of Bollywood. Indian Express critic Shubhra Gupta rated the film 3.5 stars out of 5. In her review, she wrote, “Kaamyaab is a moving, consistently engaging portrait of an artiste as a weathering, weathered man. Inspired by true events, The Banker centres around revolutionary businessmen Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie) and Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson), who devise an audacious and risky plan to take on the racist establishment of the 1960s by helping other African Americans pursue the American dream. Along with Garrett’s wife Eunice (Nia Long), they train a working-class white man, Matt Steiner (Nicholas Hoult), to pose as the rich and privileged face of their burgeoning real estate and banking empire – while Garrett and Morris pose as a janitor and a chauffeur. Their success ultimately draws the attention of the federal government, which threatens everything the four have built.
The nine episodes series, Made In Heaven, deals with modern aspirations and the ever-changing value systems of modern Indians. At the centre of it are two wedding planners, Tara (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Karan (Arjun Mathur). Their job includes planning fancy wedding parties for rich people so they can keep up the perception that their lives are perfect. The same holds true for Tara and Karan’s life as well.
