NEW DELHI:
Anand Mahindra, once again, proved that he is just like us when working from home. It might come as a shock to you, but the
Mahindra Group Chairman wears a
lungi under his shirt when getting into video calls with colleagues.
Sharing an 'Expectation Vs Reality' meme of men working from home from what he calls his #WhatsAppWonderBox, the 64-year-old confessed on Sunday that he wore a
lungi under his shirt on some video calls from home.
Adding a twist of humour to his Twitter post, he wrote, "Didn’t have to stand up at any point during the meetings, but I suspect my colleagues may ask me to do so after this tweet."
This tweet surprised his 7.6 million followers, and encouraged a lot of positive response from his fans. In a reply, when someone asked to confirm if he always wears a
lungi at home, the tycoon confirmed that he has been wearing one ever since his schooldays in Udhagamandalam, Ooty.
Last week,
Pawan Goenka, MD of Mahindra & Mahindra, shared a picture of a conference call where Mahindra virtually inaugurated the plant in Mumbai's Kandivali Auto factory for producing 3-ply surgical face masks in collaboration with Navi Mumbai-based menstrual hygiene products maker
Saral Designs.
In the image, the billionaire businessman is seen wearing a shirt during the video call.
While he didn't confirm which video calls he wore a lungi for, we can't help but think may be it was for the call with Goenka and Saral Designs team!
