MUMBAI: A tea vendor whose stall stands beside CM Uddhav Thackeray's Bandra (east) home was rushed to hospital due to a violent cough. The final report is pending.
Thackeray's security staff could be overhauled, sources said. BMC put up a board that a resident affected by coronavirus has been found.
About 170 cops and SRPF jawans deployed for CM's security often visited the stall. A few of them have been quarantined nearby.
Arun Naik, who heads the Kala Nagar housing colony, accused the BMC of not handling the situation "with seriousness it deserves". Naik, a publisher and art critic, said he had sent an SMS to state minister Aaditya Thackeray, to look into the matter of many vendors in the are, but did not get no response.
