In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the automotive industry in India and overseas has come out in full force to assist governments in combating the problem. Mumbai-headquartered Mahindra & Mahindra, is utilising its group strengths by deploying resources and expertises wherever possible. On March 30, it began manufacturing face shields at its Kandivali manufacturing plant in Mumbai.

In a recent update on social media, Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director (Auto and Farm sector), Mahindra Board, shared information that the company has provided tractors to Municipal Corporations to the state of Maharashtra, for sanitation purposes.
Mahindra tractors, which are equipped with sprayers, are being used by various municipalities to carry out sanitation operations in Maharashtra. This is a change of duty for Mahindra tractors, which are usually deployed on farms, especially in vegetable-growing fields. The tractor-mounted sprayers are equipped with a computer balanced fan with counter-veins and equalizer cone technology that delivers uniform high-volume air output for efficient chemical penetration with a lesser load on the tractor.
