What we know so far

  • A man and a woman in their 70s are the fifth and sixth people to die from COVID-19 in Western Australia. There are 470 confirmed cases in WA, after 10 new cases were confirmed today. In Australia, the death toll stands at 48.
  • The global death toll from coronavirus has passed 74,000. There are more than 1.3 million known cases of infection, while more than 277,000 people have recovered, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally.
