So many people who went to Tablighi Jamaat from Haryana are infected

In Chandigarh, Haryana, at least 13 people have been confirmed to be infected with Kovid-19. All of these people joined the Tablighi Jamaat in Markaz, near Nizamuddin, Delhi in March. Officials gave information about this on Friday. All the cases are from Palwal district, most of which are Bangladeshi citizens. In 16 of the 17 cases reported so far in the district, patients attended Nizamuddin Markaz.

Palwal Chief Medical Officer Brahmadeep Singh told the media, "A total of 88 samples from the Jamaat were tested, of which 13 have been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19."

A day earlier, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Vijai Vardhan said that 107 foreigners participating in the program have been quarantined since returning to the state.
