Bengalis’ love for sweets is well known. And innovation with sweets too has gone up a notch as Hindusthan Sweets on Jadavpur Central Road has come up with coronavirus-shaped sweets of different sizes. Yes, you read it right. Red and pink-coloured, round-shaped sweets resembling the structure of the virus have flooded the counters of the shop.

“We made these items as per our owner’s instructions. He thought that it will be a huge hit. We are not selling them individually, rather handing over a piece for free to customers who are coming to our shop to buy sweets. Everyone is curious about how we made the sweet and many are inquiring whether we are going to sell these or not,” said one of the workers in the shop.
