Windstar will now resume its operations and begin sailing cruises again according to its current schedule with departures beginning on or after May 22, 2020.

All guests with canceled bookings on all Windstar cruises due to this extended suspension will be offered a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) by the company. The credit will be valued at 125% of all amounts paid to Windstar Cruises upon the booking. Guests can book tickets and sail with their Future Cruise Credit until December 31, 2021. Guests are also given the opportunity to request an exchange of their FCC for a 100% refund of the amount paid to Windstar Cruises on all canceled bookings. Guests have until December 31, 2021 to request a refund.

Andrew Todd, CEO, Windstar Cruises, said in a recent press statement that the 2020 Alaska program is being canceled due to the impact of the pandemic on Italy where the Star Breeze is currently under renovation. He mentioned that the Star Breeze is expected to leave the Fincantieri shipyard in late July this year. The ship will head towards Australia around fall after spending its summer sailing in the Mediterranean Sea.
