MUMBAI: The state cyber cell has advised people not to fall victim to freebies offered by fraudsters on various social media platforms in the name of Covid-19.
Messages such as free recharge, benefits to unemployed youngsters by the government etc, have been circulating on the Internet.
"In the past four days, we have received over a hundred messages from people inquiring if the various offers they have got either in the name of the government or the corporate sector are genuine," state cyber cell, superintendent of police Balsing Rajput, told TOI.
