Sonam K Ahuja's one of the most popular songs is 'Masakali' from the film Delhi-6 co-starring Abishek Bachchan. The song is crooned by Mohit Chauhan, the music is composed by A R Rahman while the lyrics are penned by Prasoon Joshi. Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, 'Masakali' is set to be re-created in a music video by none other than Tanishk Bagchi cited to be 2.0 version. It will be starring Marjaavaan duo Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria.

Talking about the same, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar told the tabloid, "AR Rahman created a musical gem in ‘Masakali’ which has been a personal favourite for years. The song is still a rage among youngsters, so I thought it might be a good idea to present it in a new fashion. We got Sidharth and Tara for the song as they look good together on screen and they infused life into the chartbuster."

While Sidharth said, "We have unintentionally made a song revolving around two people cooped up indoors and still doing a lot of masti."

On the other hand, Tara shared, "It was a breeze. It’s such a catchy song despite being a midtempo tune. Bhushanji and Tanishk have reimagined the 2.0 version beautifully while Tulsi and Sachet have given it a fun, sexy spin, which I love.

The shooting for 'Masakali 2.0' wrapped up a few days back and Sidharth had also revealed it is relevant in today's times due to the ongoing lockdown.
