Mohali: For this wedding just 4 baratis & sanitisers

Overseas relatives of the bridegroom are locked in homes.
MOHALI: There are no fancy affairs, bands or DJs, as marriages have become a simple affair during the curfew lockdown in Mohali.
Only four people of the bride and grooms family accompanied them to solemnize their marriage ceremony. Before tying the knot, the bridegroom and their family members are being sanitised instead sprinkling the holy waters as per the rituals.
On Sunday, a family of Daun village in Mohali experienced a similar kind of marriage ceremony in which Gagandeep Kaur tied the knot with Rajdeep Singh of Khanna.
Daughter of Shyam Lal Singh and Sukhjinder Kaur had to part ways with three functions before getting married to Rajdeep Singh.
Rajdeep Singh said his relatives had come from America and Canada especially to attend the marriage function, which was earlier scheduled for March 29, but due to the imposition of curfew, they all missed the fun of a Punjabi wedding.
He said all his overseas relatives are locked inside houses in Khanna.
