While addressing the media after Cabinet Meeting, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar informed that the cabinet has approved temporary suspension of MPLAD Fund of MPs during 2020-21 & 2021-22 for managing health and adverse impact of outbreak of COVID-19 in India. He further added, “The consolidated amount of MPLAD Funds for 2 years - Rs 7,900 crores - will go to Consolidated Fund of India”.
