Gautam Buddh Nagar: NIIMS handed over to district health department for quarantine facility

GREATER NOIDA: District administration hands over Noida International Institute of Medical Sciences (NIIMS), Greater Noida to Gautam Buddh Nagar chief medical officer (CMO) for quarantine/isolation facility.
All medical and paramedical staff from the institute that had gone home or were on leave have been asked to report on duty by Monday morning else action will be taken against them.
“We have handed over NIIMS situated at plot no. 1, Sector 17A Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida to GB Nagar chief medical officer today to be utilised as additional quarantine/isolation facility in the district in its fight against Covid-19,” said Suhas LY district magistrate GB Nagar.
The DM further directed all medical and paramedical staff of NIIMS to report on duty by Monday morning April 6. “It is learnt that many of the medical and paramedical staff of NIIMS had gone home or have taken leave. I’ve issued a directive that they have to mandatorily report on duty by Monday morning (April 6) and assist the district health department in their fight against Covid-19. Action will be taken against those who do not follow the directive under section 51 of the Disaster Management Act 2005,” said the district magistrate.
