Bengaluru: Rs 28 lakh stolen from ATM near Dobbespet

BENGALURU: A gang decamped with Rs 28 lakh from an unguarded Axis Bank ATM at Sompura Industrial Area, near Dobbespet, recently. The gang used metal cutters to open the ATM machine and fled with the cash, CCTV cameras and digital video recorder.
Police suspect the robbery took place between March 30 and 31. The last cash withdrawal at the ATM was on Monday night.
The bank's Mumbai office learnt about the problem on Wednesday and alerted its cash logistics firm. Its staff went to the kiosk and found the ATM cut open.
