KALYAN: With six persons testing positive for
coronavirus in the areas under Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), the number of such patients in the region rose to 34 on Monday, officials said.
Out of six patients, four are from Dombivli and two are from Kalyan (West).
The Kalyan (West) based 38- year-old patient is father of a six-month-old child who on Friday was found coronavirus positive. Earlier, patient's 67-year-old father and 60-year-old mother were also found positive.
Out of six patients, three are men and three women. Four are aged between 22 to 38 yrs and two are between age 55 and 65. All six patients were infected after coming in to contact of patients as they did not have any travel history. The health department said on Monday one patient who was infected after coming into patient's touch during a wedding held on March 19 got discharges from the hospital. So far six patients have got discharged from a hospital in Kalyan-Dombivli, while 28 patients are still having treatment.
Looking at rising cases of coronavirus, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi on Monday passed order asking all shops including groceries, vegetables and milk shops to remain shut from Tuesday after 5pm till further order. The order states that only medicals stores, clinics and hospitals would remain open throughout the day
