Kerala: A platform for students to share their literary works

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the lockdown, the general education department has launched 'akshara vriksham', a web-based platform for school students to showcase their literary works and articles.
Students may prepare articles, stories, poems etc., on environment, cleanliness and immunity for publication on www.schoolwiki.in, which is considered as one of the largest online information repository created by the state with the active participation of student community.
Selected works among the contributions in the above mentioned subjects would be later published in book format by State Council for Education, Research and Training (SCERT), a statement from the office of general education minister C Raveendra Nath said here on Wednesday.
The project will be guided and implemented by SCERT and Kite. Students of Classes I to XII are eligible to send entries to Akshara Vriksham. Works would be accepted till April 15. Further details about the programme could be gathered from the website. The minister urged students to take part in the drive and prove their skills by utilising the lockdown period.
