SSC will look into the CHSL UFM rules, promises chairman Sharma

NEW DELHI: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) chairman Mr Brij Raj Sharma on Monday promised to look into the concerns of SSC CHSL candidates regarding cut in the marks due to the new "unfair means" rule.
Talking to NBT online Mr Sharma said that the Commission has received several complaints from the candidates who had appeared for the Tier-II text of the Combined High Secondary Level 2018, as many of them got zero marks due to the new use of "unfair means" or UFM rule.
"We will look into the complaints registered by the candidates once the lockdown is lifted by the government as right now the SSC office is closed," said Mr Sharma.

The Commission had declared the descriptive type paper (Tier-II) result on February 25, 2020. Since then, candidates started complaining about the marks they got in the examination.
Due to UFM weird rules, zero marks are being awarded by the system to the candidates.
As per the rule, if a candidate writes an essay 10 percent extra then the world limit then that essary will be treated as unfair means and zero marks will be awarded to the candidates. This one just one of the examples, there are other rules also, if a candidate does not adhere to those rules he/she will get zero marks.
Some of the UFM rules are as follows...
* Not sticking to the format of the letter
* Including the extra information than what is given to you
* Writing the name on the answer sheet
* Doing rough work by putting stray marks and random words on the sheet
* Including the name of the random person in the body of the letter.
* Not filling the essential details in the response sheet
* Writing too many words in one block
