One more tests positive for Covid-19 in Kanpur, total cases rise to seven

KANPUR: With one new Covid-19 case reported on Sunday morning, the number of coronavirus patients in the city has now climbed to seven. The person who has tested positive is a member of Tablighi Jamaat, and a native of Sarai Lal Das locality of Meerut.
"Soon after surfacing of six positive cases in the city on Friday, he along with 88 others, was zeroed-in by the health department during a drive and quarantined at Rama Medical college in Mandhana. He has now been shifted to Covid-19 ward of Lala Lajpat Rai hospital. He had a history of attending Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi," said chief medical officer Dr Ashok Shukla.
On Friday, six persons including two Afghan nationals were found Covid-19 positive in the city.
