Team Trust donates Rs 60 lakh for Covid-19 fight

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Education & Medical Trust (Team Trust) that runs MNM Jain Engineering College, D B Jain College and MNM School of Architecture at Thoraipakkam on Saturday donated Rs 60 lakh to various relief funds to be used for the fight against Covid-19. Besides the trust, the 600-plus teaching staff of the three colleges have also contributed their one-day salary to the funds.
The trust donated Rs 30 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Rs 10 lakh to PM CARES and an additional Rs 10 lakh to Rajasthan CM Relief Fund. It further donated Rs 10 lakh to Red Cross, Chennai, a statement from the trust said.
In addition, Lalchand Leeladevi Munoth Jain Medical Care at Mahalingapuram in the city continued to provide diagnostic services, despite the challenges faced during the 21-day lockdown.
