New Delhi, Mar 16 () Silver prices on Monday gained Rs 13 to 40,500 per kg in futures trade taking positive cues from overseas markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery gained Rs 13, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 40,500 per kg in 4,879 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 21, or 0.05 per cent, at Rs 41,050 per kg in 48 lots.
Traders said fresh bets by participants in line with a firm trend in global markets mainly led to rise in silver futures.
In the international market, silver was quoting 0.69 per cent higher at USD 14.60 an ounce in New York. VHP SHWSHW
