Christ University opens online writing lab for students
The courses are free of cost and an extension of the University’s writing support system.

BENGALURU: Christ University launched an online writing lab, a digital platform that houses multiple e-learning courses and other services. Taking inspiration from Purdue University, the writing lab is expected to assist students in developing their professional and academic skills through e-learning courses on academic writing, research writing, professional communication, creative writing, resume writing and digital certification.
The courses are free of cost and an extension of the University’s writing support system, the university said in a press release. The writing lab has a physical, concrete space for one-on-one student consultation as well. The production of the e-learning courses is done by the peer trainers themselves under the guidance of qualified and well-trained experts of the field.
Inorder to encourage rising authors, the writing lab also houses a digital community space for students to publish their fresh, original content. It also includes a facility for students to have their voices heard through a podcast feature. “The ultimate aim is to make this digital platform a creative arena for the student community and have them freely channelize their aesthetic and creative talents in a productive manner,” the press release said.
