PATNA: In a shocking incident, two youths were kidnapped, tied to a tree and mercilessly beaten up before being forced to drink urine in full public view in
Muzaffarpur district, police said on Sunday.
The victims — Abhay Kumar (26) and
Ranjan Kumar (28) — are battling for life at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur. Six people have been named as accused in the FIR lodged with Kudhani police station in the district.
The victims told the police that they were held captive by some people travelling in an SUV near Balia Chowk under Kudhani police station when they were on way to meet a family acquaintance on their motorbike in the morning. The kidnappers took them to an orchard, tied to a tree and thrashed till they fainted.
The offenders didn’t stop there. They forced the victims to drink urine and threatened them with dire consequences if they reported the incident to the police. The locals later admitted the injured to the SKMCH where the Ahiyapur police recorded their statement and forwarded the same to Kudhani police for further action.
