NOIDA: Two Noida residents have been put in 14-day isolation at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida after they complained of virus-like symptoms. Their swab samples have been sent for testing to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Coronavirus outbreak live update One of them, a woman, had recently returned from a trip to France while another, a doctor, claimed to have come in contact with a relative who was back from Dubai. "We have admitted the two persons to the hospital's quarantine ward. Both have been showing mild symptoms of Covid-19. Their samples have been sent to NCDC," said Dr RK Gupta, director of GIMS.
Chief medical officer Anurag Bhargava said the two would be kept in isolation for 14 days. "Precautions are being taken because both of them showed mild symptom," he said.
By Sunday, the total number of people tracked down in the district was 1,345. Among them, 980 are under surveillance, while the swab samples of 182 have been taken.
