Lallana could be handed temporary contract extension
Should the Premier League season be completed after June 30 because the Coronavirus, clubs will be left in an unprecedented position regarding out-of-contract players.
The likes of Liverpool’s Adam Lallana is entering the final months of his contract and expected to move on on a free this summer.

But rather than move on at the end of his deal at the end of June, if the season is yet to be concluded, the likes of Lallana are set to be granted temporary short-term deals according to The Athletic.
Davind Ornstein writes: “It is believed the FA and FIFA would grant special dispensation for short-term rolling contracts,” which could see Liverpool offer Lallana “week-by-week deals.”
Wijnaldum 'in advanced contract talks'
Gini Wijnaldum is in advanced talks with Liverpool to extend his contract according to reports.

Italian journalist Nico Schira claims the Reds are looking to tie the Dutchman down to a new deal until 2023.
Chelsea 'drop' Werner interest
Chelsea will drop their interest in Timo Werner and switch attentions to Moussa Dembele according to reports.

The Blues are resigned to missing out on the Germany international to Liverpool and the Athletic, cited by the Express, suggest they’ll now look to sign the Lyon striker this summer instead.
Goal of the day
Pavel Nedved was brilliant and this goal is a beauty.
Arsenal and Spurs 'want' Lovren
Tottenham and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in signing Dejan Lovren this summer, but they aren’t the only ones.
The Croatian has fallen out of favour at Liverpool and could move on at the end of the season.

La Lazio Siamo Noi, cited by the Express, claim the Premier League duo face competition from Lazio, AC Milan and Lyon for the centre-back.
With Lovren out of contract at the end of next season, Liverpool reportedly want £18m for his services while he would be prepared to take a pay cut to move on.
Liverpool 'to replace' Adrian
After his mistakes against Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, Adrian’s future has become the subject of speculation.
And it’s not pretty reading for the Spaniard with pundits and journalists in agreement Liverpool need to buy a replacement.
First up, David Maddock of the Daily Mirror told Sunday Supplement he thinks the Reds will sign a goalkeeper this summer.
He was garbage. To be fair, he’s been an accident waiting to happen for the last few weeks. I kind of thought if Liverpool were to go out it would be because Alisson was injured and that’s the way it proved.
Liverpool did plenty enough to win the game - probably enough to win four games - and then fate turned against them.
[Adrian] did alright earlier in the season but he was a bit mixed even then and I think Klopp kind of knows that’s been a weakness of Liverpool. Alisson getting injured twice in a season, that’s not good actually.
I think you’ll find Liverpool, whenever they do go out to sign players, if it’s this summer, they’ll go out and sign a ‘keeper, I’m pretty sure about that.

Next up, former goalkeeper Shaka Hislop told ESPN FC Adrian doesn’t have the mentality to play for Liverpool.
After the last couple of weeks I can understand if Liverpool are looking elsewhere.
To start the season I thought Adrian showed himself as more than enough as a capable replacement for Alisson.
But I think what we have seen over the last couple of weeks there are a couple of things.
It takes a certain mentality to be a number two, which I am not sure that Adrian is right now, just coming in and playing every so often.
I am also less convinced that he has the ability to play at that level, that expected level for Liverpool on a consistent basis.
Everything about a goalkeeper is there [in their head] at this stage of your career. No question.
For West Ham he was simply outstanding, I just feel that it is not coming together at Liverpool.
He’s not a number two or he doesn’t have the mentality to play at that level.
And Steve Nicol has admitted the Spaniard’s performances have made him change his opinion on Adrian.

You’ve got to wonder, Adrian started the season for Liverpool and Adrian didn’t look out of place at the start of the season.
He had a run of games where, certainly I know I was, I’m thinking ’wow, this guy’s been fantastic, I can’t believe it, now we’ve got two, if something happens to Alisson now we’ve got a guy who can step in’.
But unfortunately he stepped in twice and in both games made an absolute mess of it and cost Liverpool maybe a Champions League.
On this day...
What a win this was! Liverpool battered them!
Missing football?
Missing football? Me too.
Don’t worry, these replacements could help fill the void!

What are we going to be resorting to by the end of the month?!
Why Gary O'Driscoll snubbed Liverpool
More on Gary O’Driscoll snubbing Liverpool now.
football.london report that the doctor opted to remain at Arsenal for personal and professional reasons.

Whilst he was flattered by the interest from the Premier League’s top side his family were keen to remain in London.
Equally O’Driscoll is known to be excited by the direction his current employers are heading in under Mikel Arteta.
Diego Carlos 'snubbed' Reds
Diego Carlos turned down a move to Liverpool in January according to reports in Spain.
The Reds have repeatedly been linked with the Sevilla defender in recent months, with the Brazilian having a £65m release clause.

According to El Desmarque, cited by HITC, he held talks with Liverpool during the winter transfer window but an official offer was never made with the player insistent he would not be making a move mid-season.
The report does say Carlos will be open to a transfer when the window re-opens, however.
Arsenal doctor u-turns on Liverpool move
Gary O’Driscoll has reportedly u-turned on leaving Arsenal to join Liverpool report The Athletic.
The Gunners doctor had agreed to replace Andy Massey at Anfield but “a late change of heart from O’Driscoll means he will now be staying in London.”

They also claim a doctor from another Premier League side has already turned down an approach for talks as Liverpool continue to look for a replacement.
Academy doctor Jim Moxon has stepped up to the first team in the interim and is being supported by other medical staff including Philipp Jacobsen and Sarah Lindsay, who is Massey’s wife.
