Expect rain again this weekend

Gurgaon: The city is likely to experience dry weather from Monday for a few days as the western disturbance has moved away, officials from the met department said. On Friday and Saturday, however, the region is expected to witness lightning and rain with thunderstorms.
A day after sudden rain and thunderstorm, Gurgaon’s minimum temperature was down by 5°C to 11.5°C on Sunday, while the maximum temperature was 25°C. The change in the weather is because of the western disturbance and heavy snowfall in the hills, officials said.
“For the next three days, both minimum and maximum temperatures will remain below normal. Northwest winds with speeds of up to 20km and clear blue skies with sunshine will prevail. From Thursday onwards, wind direction is likely to change and the region may receive rain,” meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya said.
Meanwhile, the health department has advised people to stay away from crowded places due to the novel coronavirus scare. “Our response teams are on surveillance to track down all people with recent travel history,” chief medical officer J S Puniya said.
