Villagers block road demanding water

Rajkot: Hit by a severe water crisis, people of Magharwada village on the outskirts of Rajkot staged a chakka jam (road block) on Rajkot-Ahmedabad Highway on Sunday morning. The villagers alleged that they had not received drinking water for the past fortnight, for which they had made representations before the water supply board of Rajkot district, but to no avail. Left with no choice they finally decided to stage a chakka jam. TNN
