Man murders girlfriend in Sadar after being harassed for marriage

NAGPUR: A 26-year-ols man, Asif Shaikh, strangled his 21-year-old girlfriend Husna Kismat to death at Mangalwadi market in Sadar on Monday morning.
It was learnt that Shaikh was upset with Husna for pressuring him to marry her. They had been emotionally attached for the past few years. Shaikh is a trucker while Husna had been working at a mobile shop at Sitabuldi.
Shaikh have met his girlfriend at Mangalwadi few hours before the murder was executed. They had later gone towards Sharda Chowk but returned to Mangalwadi later in the evening.
It was at Mangalwadi that their quarrel had aggravated at the basement of a shopping complex. During a heated argument, Shaikh strangled Husna with her scarf leading to her death before fleeing from the place.
An offence of murder was registered by Sadar police. Shaikh was also rounded up from Gittikhandan.
