VNSGU to continue exam till March 18

Surat: Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) on Sunday announced continuing its graduation and post graduation exams which are already underway in accordance with the exam schedule till March 18. A decision on the exams after that will be announced later, university official informed.
The decision has been taken after the state government on Sunday announced closing down of all educational institutions till March 29.
The exams have started in the colleges since last week and will continue for the next 10 days for different courses. "The university officials are likely to discuss the issue of continuation of exam during the week and decide whether to continue exams after March 18 or postpone it," a professor informed.
The varsity has, however, ordered its departments to stop teaching activities and asked the students not to come to the university. However, the teaching and non teaching staff have been asked to remain present on duty.
The university officials are yet to take a decision about the senate meeting that is scheduled this month end. The meeting takes place once in a year in which college principals, head of departments and elected members undertake discussion over major issues.
