THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more positive cases of
Covid-19 were reported from the state. With this the total number of cases in the state has become 24 of which three persons who had come from
Wuhan have been cured and discharged.

KTDC resort in Munnar. The second case has been reported from Thiruvananthapuram. This person is a doctor who had gone for a short term course abroad.
Health minister
K K Shailaja said the flow of passengers from virus hit countries has increased. At present 10,944 people are under observation in the state of which 289 people are admitted in isolation wards of various hospitals.
The minister ruled out any panic situation in the state and said all the people should cooperate with the directives made by the health department. "There is no regulation on the people coming out of the houses. We have only said that there should not be any mass gatherings. The people who have come in contacts with the people who have come from foreign countries need to be taken care of. A normal person should not worry about the isolation or should not stay indoors," said Shailaja.
She also stressed the need for the free flow of public transport system so that the normal life is not affected. A system to check the passengers who are travelling by train and road especially in the border areas of the state have begun.
While detailing about break the chain scheme launched by the health department, the minister said there is a need for everyone to maintain personal hygiene. For this everyone who are coming from outside to the office or house should wash their hands.
Meanwhile chief minister
Pinarayi Vijayan convened a high level meeting in which he urged all the district administration to have a tab on the foreigners living in the resorts and tourist destinations.
As per the statistics collected by the tourism department, at present 5250 foreigners are in the state in various tourist destinations. The chief minister has asked the district collectors to immediately collect the details of the foreigners in each district.
Those foreigners who have been tested positive now should not be allowed to go back until they are proved negative in the successive tests. The state police chief has also been asked to collect the details of the foreigners.
