Now, we can’t send international students homes. They will be allowed to stay,” a university spokesperson said.
Amity University on Friday took classes online. “We have converted our curriculum to an online classroom system. We have an online university system in place and we will use that. Students can access this from anywhere,” an Amity spokesperson said.
Shiv Nadar University, too, has suspended its classes. The management has sent a notice to students that they should stay at home at least till March 31.
“During this time, we will move all courses online. This may happen through Blackboard, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other means. Any assessment planned for this period will either be postponed or done online. Instructors will send students course-specific information online. This is a challenge in the middle of the session, but everybody here at Shiv Nadar University will put in their best,” the university said.
At Sharda University, classes have been suspended, but students are still being allowed to stay in hostels. “There is no formal system to conduct online classes. We have asked teachers to be able to mentor students online if they need guidance,” a varsity official said.
