Maharashtra separates 18 villages of KDMC to form new municipal council

KALYAN: The Maharashtra government on Saturday separated 18 out of 27 villages from Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and announced to make a separate municipal council for these 18 villages.
The villagers of these 27 villages were demanding a separate municipal council for many years and finally on Saturday the announcement was made. A new council of 18 villages will be made and the remaining nine villages for which urbanisation is already done and attached with Kalyan-Dombivli city will remain with KDMC.
The 18 villages includes Ghesar, Hedutade, Umbroli, Bhal, Dwarli, Manere, Vasar, Ashele, Nandivali, Aadivali- Dokali, Davdi, Chinchpada, Pisavali, Golivali, Mangav, Milje, Sonarpada and Kole.
