Five megapixel cameras for vigil in Uttar Pradesh prisons

LUCKNOW: The government has decided to replace the CCTV cameras with high-powered 5 megapixel cameras in jails to keep vigil on prisoners, along with adoption of other steps for upgrading security in jails. The decision was taken in a meeting of jail officials and additional chief secretary on Thursday.
A release from the prisons department said that soon 4G and 5G network jammers would be installed in jails. DG prisons Anand Kumar has asked for 997 PAC personnel for security and training of jail warders at four training centres of police.
