Bare Carbon Alfa Romeo Giulia From Alfaholics Is The Italian Equivalent Of A Singer 911

Let’s all gather around and feast with our eyes on this gorgeous naked carbon bodyshell of the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia, courtesy of Alfaholics.

As one of the leading specialists in classic Alfa Romeos worldwide, UK-based Alfaholics presented the latest development in their GTA-R programme with the addition of a full carbon fiber body panel conversion as seen here.

The Alfaholics GTA-R is the Alfa Romeo equivalent of a Singer 911, a fully reimagined and reengineered version of the classic Italian sports car.

The full-carbon body conversion will be applied to Alfaholics’ new GTA-R 300 model, saving 70kg over a steel-bodied GTA-R. Once fully built, the car will be 38 kg lighter over the previous range-topper, the GTA-290R which already came with carbon bonnet, boot and doors. The final weight of the new GTA-R 300 will be less than 800 kg (1,763 lbs), giving it a power-to-weight figure of just over 300 HP per tonne – hence the name.

The new Alfaholics GTA-R 300 will also benefit from the company’s latest Ultraleggera billet titanium suspension which not only is lighter than before but it allows greater geometry optimization.

Under the bonnet of this gorgeous Alfa Romeo you’ll eventually find a Twin Spark four-cylinder that has been enlarged to 2.3 liters, kicking out with a scream 240 HP at 7,000 rpm.

There’s no info yet on the pricing, but it certainly won’t be for the faint-hearted, given that the Alfaholics GTA-R 290 costs around £240,000 – that’s $300k in current exchange rates.

It almost feels sacrilegious to classify this as a restomod as it looks more art than anything. Sorry Alfa Romeo, you may have brought back the GTA badge with the new Giulia but the ultimate Milanese sports car is currently made in the UK.
