GURUGRAM: Over 100
HSVP employees tranferred to MCG staged a protest at its office in Gurugram on Thursday alleging that contributions towards provident fund and several loans deducted from their salaries aren’t being deposited in the accounts concerned.
Hundreds of HSVP
employees were transferred to MCG two years ago when the authority handed over its sectors to the corporation. They alleged that MCG has been deducting provident fund contributions as well as EMIs of house rent, personal loan and vehicle loan from their salaries, but the amount has not been deposited with HSVP.
“Money is being deducted from our salaries but isn’t shown in statements of accounts. MCG has also benched us without any work,” said Mukesh Tanwar of HSVP Karamchari Ekta
Manch.
Ram Nivas Thakran, one of the protesters and a member of the union, said while employees were transferred to MCG, senior officials of their departments continue to occupy their posts. “All employees of some departments were transferred citing lack of work, but officers who are heading the department are still occupying their post,” he alleged.
The employee union blamed encroachment for HSVP’s financial woes. “HSVP has loans of over Rs 24,000 crore and is paying monthly interest of Rs 100 crore. We have enough assets to replay these loans. Enroached land needs to be cleared and sold to raise funds,” Thakran added.
