GujCET 2020: Over 1.26 lakh students registered for March 31 exam
Nearly 1.26 lakh students from across the state are expected to participate in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) to be held on March 31.

AHMEDABAD: Nearly 1.26 lakh students from across the state are expected to participate in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) to be held on March 31.
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), which conducts GujCET, stated 12,5781 Class XII (science) students have registered for the exam. This consists of 49,888 students from Group A, 75,519 from Group B and 374 from Group AB.
The state level exam is held annually for science students seeking admissions in degree engineering and pharmacy courses in the government, grant-in-aid and self-financed engineering institutions in Gujarat.
The entrance exam will be held between 10am to 4pm on March 31. Physics and chemistry exams will be held from 10am to 12 noon which will be followed by an hourlong break. Students will take biology exam from 1pm to 2pm followed by the maths from 3pm to 4pm.
The result of GujCET will be announced along with the Class XII (science) board results. Exam hall tickets will soon be issued to the students by GSHSEB. It will also be posted online.
A merit list will be drawn up by giving 40% weightage to percentiles obtained by the candidates in GUJCET 2020 and 60% weightage to percentiles obtained in Class XII (science) board exams.
