Coimbatore: After nabbing two people in connection with the SBI branch heist at Kallipalayam near Palladam on February 24, police have arrested three more people.
Police identified them as B Ramanajappa, 44, of Tumkur in Karnataka, E Ramakrishna Achariyar, 35, of Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh and Mohammed Ishrar Khan from Rajasthan.
The Tirupur police have obtained prisoner transit warrant from the judicial magistrate court at Palladam to bring Ramanajappa and Achariyar to the district for detailed investigation. A police team that left Rajasthan on Thursday evening is expected to reach Tirupur along with Khan on Saturday. Police have recovered 650 grams of gold ornaments from the arrested people.
